About Strides for Social Justice

The mission of the Strides for Social Justice program is to engage and educate participants on landmarks demonstrating the history, contributions, achievements and milestones of Black residents while also promoting health and wellness in our community.

One of the key goals of Strides for Social Justice is to raise funds toward programs such as the NAACP’s Mattie Reynolds Scholarship, Oregon Black Education Foundation and other like organizations. Click here to donate.

Strides for Social Justice was developed by PeaceHealth in partnership with the Eugene Marathon and numerous community partners. We thank our amazing steering committee for graciously donating their time, expertise and perspectives.
